The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop- A Role Play

(Totally not a mistake on my part...I totally knew Kipp was there the whole time...totally. haha)

Blair froze. The small sound of someone shifting had caught her attention. It would have gone completely unnoticed by any other set of ears, but she heard it. Her gaze snapped around to beside her, and to her utter surprise, a small boy with bird wings sat there. "Oh, my gosh! Sorry, I didn't even notice you sitting there! I'm sorry!" She shook her head, mentally face-palming. "Sorry. Sorry. I'm Blair."

Take flashed a toothy grin, his canines poked out, “Yeah, you can shape shift into a wolf, I can’t really do anything like that..” he added, bringing up his forearms and turning them back and forth, interpreting that he couldn’t make them appear different. His third eye took a double take at Kipp, who had literally merged with his seat.

“By the way, this little dude here is Kipp. He looks pretty different, but that’s what makes him unique.” He gestured with a backwards thumb in Kipps direction.

Kipp looked up at his name, a small grateful smile on his face. He hadn't expected Take to be so nice, and felt a bit sheepish for jumping to conclusions based solely on someones looks.

"Hi." He fidgeted his fingers gripping the hem of his shirt tightly, unrolling any creases they came across. Am I supposed to shake her hand, or not? It'll be awkward for her with her to my right, should I offer my left hand? Should I stand up? He let out a huff smiling uncomfortably. Looking to her for any kind of cue. "Oh," He said taken aback, he stared into her eyes. "I've never met anyone who's eyes were the same as mine." He relaxed a bit finally accepting that maybe she really hadn't seen him. He was after all tiny compared to either of them. "It's nice to meet you." He said shrugging and smiling. He wasn't going to shake her hand, it was really too formal anyway.

“Kyle Beck,” Kyle replied.

“If you have a phone on you, you may text your parents if you like. The size of the bugs isn't the matter, it's the quantity. Think about the corn this year. None of it's been harvested yet. Imagine the devastation when a worldwide phenomenon like this takes place."

Cam sighed, propping her face up on her fists, elbows driven into the table. What will the school do when I'm not there? What will my parents think? And I have a science test today. What kind of use could I be on something this mega scale anyways. Pick someone else.
"I don't have my phone on me. Mom and Dad must be so worried right now," she blurted, staring blandly at Annie. The coffee had cooled some, while the pumpkin spice muffin was a happy memory. You felt less obligation to socially interact while eating.
She blew on her coffee and sipped it slowly, waiting for Annie to make an equally uninteresting reply to her blatantly obvious comment.

(I can't remember who all is sitting with Annie and Cam. Is it just them and Ellie?)

"Really?" She responded, "My parents will think I'm at school until they get home from work tonight. It won't be hard to convince my parents I've gone to a friends house for the weekend. It is Friday after all. As long as they don't get the call from the school saying I skipped class, it'll be fine." Annie's eyes lit up, "You know aside from the whole fighting bugs part I'm really excited! I mean it's not every day you get to just skip school and go all over the planet for free, instantly! Can you imagine if we had to go to stone henge on a plane? That'd be awful. We need to take a million pictures! This is gonna be so much fun!" She paused a thought jumping into her head, "I need a stick! A really pointy stick." She sat up as tall as she could in her seat and looked around, trying to find anything she could use for squashing spiders, and tearing down giant webs.

Clary pulled out her phone and texted her dad saying she was out of town with friends.
Ok, be safe. Love you <3 he replied. Clary tucked her phone back into her pocket and looked at Brid as she spoke. She didn’t want to kill the bugs, especially the spiders. She was rather fond of spiders, and had one as a pet when she was younger until it got out of its cage. She wasn’t allowed to have any more spiders since then.
At Cam’s comment, Clary slid her phone over to her. “You can use my phone to text your parents, if you want.” She offered.
“Thank you,” Cam replied, smiling at the girl. She plugged in her mom’s number. Now what do I type? I can’t say that I’m not in danger, because this thousand year curse thing sounds like the most danger I’ve been in in my life. But I have to let her know I’m alright.
Hello mom, I’ve been kidnapped but it’s ok?
No.

Cam’s fingers were poised and at the ready, right above the ‘H.’

Hey mom. This is Cameron, using a friend’s phone. I’m just texting so you know I’m all right. I know you’ll be scared for me, but you’ll understand when I come back.’

‘What? Cam? Why aren’t you at school?’

I just made everything worse,
thought Cam, burying her face in her hands, passing the phone back to the helpful girl. It’s not your fault, it’s that Laurel guy’s fault, she reminded herself, wiping her nose. I’m ok, not about to break down in front of everybody.
Kyle looked sympathetically in her direction, but didn’t say a thing. Couldn’t say a thing.

“Your tea is done,” he told Lavender.

He can sometimes even turn other people invisible if he's touching them.
Reason the person was chosen (or happened upon a stone): He found it on the pavement. Not exactly sure of the reason. Probably his powers.

“You’re a bit smarter than me,” Cam said. “I should have thought of it that way...”

"Aww, it's ok, we'll be fine." She said putting a hand on her shoulder. "They're just bugs after all. You're big you've got nothing to worry about." Annie smiled, imagining jumping from bug to bug like she was playing a crunchy game of hopscotch.

Colby produced his phone and plopped it on the table. He stared at its dark screen for a long moment, contemplating. If he were to contact his parents with a minimalistic explanation, there'd be the extent of concern that would soon morph into taking action to locate him. But if they were instead contacted by his school, inquiring about his absence, that concern would escalate even more wildly out of control. What he had to do was manipulate both parties into thinking he was with the other...but how...
The obvious solution came to him the moment he unlocked his phone and a single text alert screamed at him: Somebody's gonna be Brumby prey if he doesn't get his tail in here right now.
Colby couldn't keep a grin off his muzzle as he tapped out a reply with a cumbersome paw.
Hey, cover for me, ok? Parents too.
Nat's response was near instantaneous.
Gotcha bro. You okay?
Yeah. Pretty cool, actually. Wish you could be here, though.
Don't worry about me and have fun, you sheltered dork.
Warmed and content with his near effortless resolution, Colby clicked his phone to darkness and returned it to his pocket. "Problem solved. It pays to have a master scoundrel for a bestie."

Charlie plodded down the sidewalk. It was break, so he would have to go to class soon, but for now it felt nice to watch the crows bickering on the roof of the math building. Then, he felt a particularly large rock hit his foot. He looked down curiously and felt a spark of interest to see that the rock he had just sent flying was glowing and blue. "Weird.." he muttered, reaching down and picking up the rock to examine it. He felt a jerk and, what felt like seconds later, was suddenly in a coffee shop. His eyes widened and he jumped back, arms out, as if ready to be attacked.

Take flashed a toothy grin, his canines poked out, “Yeah, you can shape shift into a wolf, I can’t really do anything like that..” he added, bringing up his forearms and turning them back and forth, interpreting that he couldn’t make them appear different. Blair returned his smile, slightly amused. She could almost hear the gears turning in his head at his several moments of pause, before he spoke again. "Well, that's a shame, really. Yellow eyes are the best color." She replied honestly. "And it's nice to meet you, too, Kipp." She smiled, before looking back at Take, shrugging at his words.
"I'd take three eyes over being a werewolf anyday. Anyway, where are you two from? Can't imagine you're from here, or you'd already be out the door a lot time ago."

“Thank you,” Cam replied, smiling at the girl. She plugged in her mom’s number. Now what do I type? I can’t say that I’m not in danger, because this thousand year curse thing sounds like the most danger I’ve been in in my life. But I have to let her know I’m alright.

Clary smiles back at her. When she was done, she took her phone and stuck it back in her pocket. She felt bad for the other girl, seeing as she was trying not to cry. Not knowing what to say, she looked down at her coffee cup and ran her finger around the rim.

None of the assorted teenagers in the shop seemed to find his sudden appearance surprising. Charlie stared around and backed up. He jolted as he felt his back hit the counter. "Uhh, I think I'm gonna be.. going now.." he muttered, his voice sounding strange in his ears and he crept towards the door, stumbling a bit as his foot hit a chair leg.
