The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop- A Role Play

“Thank you,” Kyle stuttered. Rylie’s tail was fluffed, and he eyed Blair warily, but even he had to thank her, giving her a grateful head-bop.
"No problem, little man," Blair smiled, nodding. "And Rylie," she glanced at the cat, taking a respectful step back, giving the cat space.

“Umm, we have a bigger problem...” Kyle trailed off, pointing at the sky. Rylie seemed to crackle with electricity, raising his hackles, fur slowly raising along his spine. The clouds seemed to be descending on them. And those aren’t clouds.
Those were... bugs! Millions and millions of them! He very much hoped it was a swarm of locusts and not some kind of supersized arachnids.
“Run! Do something!”
Cam stared as their trusty guide ran in cowardice.
“Well, I guess we better run! Rylie obviously isn’t waiting for us!”
Rylie became what looked like a furry streak of greased lightning as he bolted toward the line of trees, which seemed safer to him.
Kyle crossed his toes because his fingers were too busy clutching Rylie’s thick fur... hoping... praying...
If these are locusts... if these are locusts... please let these be locusts, please make them eat the scary trees.
Please don’t be spiders, I don’t want this to become some sort of Mirkwood like in
The Hobbit.

"Shoot." Haddie looked at the sky, fear bubbling in her gut, and shuffled closer to Cam's neck, hiding behind her hair. "Of course they come now, after I'm too small to eat them... unless someone squished them first or something."
“I think I’m just gonna trust the trees!” Cam said, sprinting after Rylie into the malevolent black of the forest. I don’t like this. At any moment something deadly could jump out of the black, and though her fear of the dark was normally unjustified, this time something really could be lurking out there.
“AUGHHHHHHH!” she screamed as she saw eyes glowing in the darkness, turning and running blindly through the forest, before tripping and sprawling in the mud. The budgie would have gone flying off her back if it weren’t for the thick, rope like braids down her back.
“Ow...” she had bruised her shin, as far as she could tell, but she was lucky not to have sprained an ankle. She got to her knees and rubbed some dirt off her jeans, to no avail. Mud. She had landed in a puddle of mud.
“Maybe don’t go running blindly away from a cat, eh?” Kyle’s pale face was graced by a tiny, crooked smile. Rylie’s eyes glowed green in the darkness.
Must be nice having a nocturnal animal to ride around on.

"Ouch, are you ok?" Haddie asked after worming her way out of Cam's hair. She eyed Rylie suspiciously, then saw Kyle. "Wait, didn't you say you had food?" she said, hopping towards him and trying not to flinch as Rylie's eyes narrowed.

Brid squinted at the sky as Kyle disappeared into the forest, followed by Cam. The buzzing of the insects’ wings were growing louder. “The forest might be a good option...” She whispered, backing towards the trees. Please let there not be any wasps!

Take heard the loud buzzing of the locusts, he looked in their direction and all he saw was the giant swarm. He ran after the others, hoping to outrun this swarm of locusts.
These stupid bugs are edible if I can catch and burn them.

“Sure.”
Rylie’s tail whipped back and forth, but his eyes quickly fixated on a new target as Kyle put his hand in his home made pocket. “He knows that’s where the food is,” Kyle explained, shoving a treat in Rylie’s jaws.
“Sooo... doughnuts or cat treats?” Kyle asked, brandishing a piece of pastry. He wasn’t sure what budgie’s liked better, or whether your taste changed depending on your shape.

Ellie’s eyes flew to the sky. Her heart pounded. She saw some others streak into the forest. “I’m going to take my chance in there” she muttered before running after the group. “Hello?!” She shrieked looking around. Next to her a tree root moved “hhhhheeeelllllppppp” she screamed as she bolted straight. You see the thing with Ellie’s lasers is they can only be controlled if she is calm. Ellie whipped around wildly glaring at the tree root. The force of the laser sent her flying backwards. The tree root wrapped around her middle dangling her upside down. “Uh Guys? I might need some help” she called

Fred looked up his jaw dropping “whoa...” he said in awe. His brain started calculating wildly “we have approximately 0.8 seconds before they arrive on top of us. We better pic fast”
