That speckled egg is awesome! Wouldn't that be fun to dye for Easter? Maybe you could blow it out and save it.

Good post. And I agree...
-I don't like the idea of getting her wet at this time of year unless you know it's necessary.
-I also have a bird that looks like she's going to die when she molts. Just 1. That's why I asked if she might be molting. Never realized that some of them look so bad at that time since only one of mine acts that way.
-And...it can be hard to know what you're dealing with. Very frustrating.
Quote: if you have a syringe with a needle attached, that makes it much easier... no more red faces from trying to blow a golfball thru a hose. LOL
use the needle to poke a hole on both ends of the egg (make it a bit bigger than the needle on the large end to make it easier for everything to come out) then using the syringe, fill it with air and put the needle in the hole all the way to the base and gently push the air into the egg. doing it too fast will cause the egg to crack, but if you go slow the guts will blow out the other side. catch them in a bowl and scramble for breakfast.

Just a thought as I was reading your post but could you use the syringe the other way and suck the egg up inside it rather than blowing it out using the needle. I know nothing about egg blowing but the question popped in my mind so it had to be asked![]()
