Black bears that aren't aggressive!?! You've been watching too many cartoons!

No I know they are a bit different here. Actually the island has larger black bears than the rest of the continent too. Lucky us! Although ours primarily don't actively hunt large game either.

I understand your lack of understanding.

In the Cascade Mountain range, black bears de-bark certain birch trees, ruining the young trees for any worth as timber...Just another example of bears having developed different survival techniques.

I can understand as well your reticence to accept the fact that all black bears aren't man killers.
If I were trapped in as mall coop with any sized bear, I might have recurring traumatic flash-backs...for sure!

EDIT: Nothing to do with the subject of black bears...There are too words that work on me like finger nails on a black board...roo and re-home.

Hmm why rehome roos ..I have plenty of room in this big white coop I keep in my laundry room called a freezer.
