Do you know if she used spinach for the eyes too?

I bet a pepper corn would be a great eye.

I made something similar one year and used black olives for the eyes. I used a small straw (like a coffee stirrer) and poked it through the olive to make a little round "spot" for each eye. The kids loved em.

I did the farm chores in short sleeves yesterday and it's supposed to be 21 in the morning. Geesh! I can't keep up.
At least my potatos aren't up yet. And thank goodness the tomatoes and peppers are still inside.
The greens are the only thing loving this weather.
The livestock is all ready for grass!
Rumor has it we will hit the 70s by the end of the week. From their lips to God's ears!

Love the eggs..I wish I would remember that type of thing when I had to make something to bring to a party..

My silkie hatched out 7 I took the last egg and put it in the bator. It should hatch tomorrow. I can't believe they all hatched. I thought 7 was enough..

the chicks are sweet, but the daffodils......sweeter! Spring isn't coming here = maple syruping has been postponed, the sap isn't running. It should have started 2 weeks ago. Robins are 3 weeks late, and people have been putting out feed for the sandhill cranes because...there is just snow and frozen lakes. Ditto for ducks and geese.

Are these turnken mixes? I still can't get used to either silkies or turkens...got to broaden my horizons :_

Yes they are naked neck (or turken) mixes. I like variety in my chickens so love the mixes.

Our insanely hot summers, and our chickens are processed for food, NN have 60% or more less feathers to pluck and no hair to singe. And just look at them, is there anything cuter??? I love variety of color and patterning and that is so easily doable w/ NN.
