The Never Ending Hatching thread! For those of us that hatch all year long!

That is what I also do. It works great.

It definitely helps but i have 4 sponges in there already.. I"m doing fine right now though, I have it at around 60%.. I think i am going to make some wicks out of paper towels and put the ends in the sponges, nobody has pipped yet so I can still make some changes.

when they begin to hatch the humidity will stay high because the moisture on the chicks as they dry.
 
Ok, so I moved all of the older chicks to the big brooder in the basement. Then I just couldn't stand looking at completely empty brooders up here in the "chick room" so I got 24 more peeps today when I went to the feed store.
