The neverending coop project. *Update - IT'S DONE!!!!!!*

Imagine how wonderful it will be to sit outside on a cool evening with the beverage of your choice in hand as you watch your happy chickens cavort in and out of your beautiful coop. You can sigh with satisfaction and say "I BUILT THAT"! I can't wait to see the finished pics.

Okay, here's the latest work. I'm so pleased that it's almost done! My husband worked on bracing the lodge poles for the run last weekend, so the run just needs T-posts and wire now. Here's the work on the coop that I have been doing. Today I get to build the roosts!!!!!

I do still have to build the door though.

The floor is pretty much done. I have to piece a strip but ran out of mastic.

The door got installed. This took me awhile and I couldn't figure out why it wasn't working well. Then DUH, I realized I had the rails upside down.

It was easy once I figured that out! It's not hooked up because my broody and her chicks are using the motor right now. When I move them, then I'll hook up the automatic opener.

I built this last weekend. The bottom will be for integrating/broodies/chicks and the top is storage for feed and shavings.

Edited to fix pictures.

Kelly, it looks wonderful! I am going to print the pictures and take them out and show them to Lukka right now! Well, as soon as she is done taking her "baby" for a walk.
