Well what do you expect from peeps that have never lived here.I would like to comment on he anti Alaska sentiment. Those of us haunting an Auction thread are CRAZY enough to have house chickens in diapers! The distance is not a problem. I just hatched 7 out of a dozen of Boggy Bottoms D'anvers. I have 8 of 8 turkeys from Mass developing. I have hatched a few 100 quail from LA. Thank You to everyone who includes us adventurers!
Quote: Just curious, though, does Alaska have strict regulations about shipping eggs in like VA and HI do (must be NPIP with special paperwork)?
Last time I looked they did.Just curious, though, does Alaska have strict regulations about shipping eggs in like VA and HI do (must be NPIP with special paperwork)?

Most states have regulations on the books that talk about NPIP certification requirement for importing hatching eggs, but there is very little enforcement as far as I can tell.
This list was compiled in 2010 by the American Bantam Association--(under news on their website: http://bantamclub.com/site/ ) I did not go back through and spot check for accuracy and the list is 3 years old:

Just got around to getting better links:If you are NPIP and send out a form with your shipment and do not completely follow the regulations you will be notified and/or can be charged. I think it is a misdemeanor in most States.
