Quote: Thanks for the reality check. I'm getting out of horses and have the woven fence. But . . . . I was envisioning it as predator control for coyote to protect the chickens. . .simplifying life these days. I"m not adding emus' but I"m sure glad you have them and share the pictures of these amazing creatures.

The "4 Day" egg collection 24 HR AUCTION: Starting bid $3.00, shipping $25.00. Auction starts now and ends 8/6/2013 @ 12:33pm.

I have a mixed layer pen and a pure silkie pen that I collect from daily. You will get at least 1 dz eggs ( I send lots of extras if applicable) I put all eggs in one collection because I don't have enough silkie eggs, or easter egger eggs to make a full dozen. So I figured this way you get a little of everything I have at the moment. My mixed hens are red sexlink, gold laced polish, gold laced wyandottes, easter eggers, cochin banties, basque. My roos are pure BUT they run with my mixed layers at the moment-Basque and Black Copper Marans. My black silkies are in a separate pen-you will get pure black silkie eggs.

I DO NOT send eggs that are more than 4 days old. I CAN NOT guarantee your hatching rate or how the PO will handle them. I CAN guarantee they will be packaged very well that is why I ask for a little more on shipping/materials so that I can try to ensure the eggs safe travel, and they will be labeled as of what breed and the date collected. I DO NOT wash my hatching eggs-BUT I will lightly wipe them off if overly dirty. If you would like special labeling on the box please let me know. I will NOT send eggs on THURSDAY-SATURDAY do to the possibility of the eggs being left at the PO on Sunday-I will send eggs on any of the other days.

my silkies as juveniles

these are some of the chicks I've hatched from my own hens/roosters

the gang this spring (I don't have the leghorns anymore)

bidding is still open...you will be very happy with these birds!

hello there
My hatch has started 730pm today. my brinsea bator has started. there is 14 crested legbars (shipped eggs) and 10 EEs / amerucana blue wheaten splash eggs in there. Yes I no there is no splash amerucanas. So my pedigreed splash EE roos eggs.
Anyway the first hatch was 7:30 this evening. I heard it announce its arrival all the way in the living room. It was a EE egg.
I have a hard time with the crested legbar eggs. I think the PO has messed most of the them up. I am afraid to add up what I have spent on those eggs. I have managed to get one pair out the eggs I've bought and they came off Ebay eggs.
Ihave my fingers crossed for a good hatch on them..
I have 3 more hatches after this one .
8--10 wyandottes , (shipped eggs) brown leghorns (home grown)
8-17 cochin bantams, barbed, and so colored ones from separate pen home grown. the barbed one came for shipped eggs orginal
8-23 and 24 turkeys, shipped eggs from Mass. silver penciled plymouth rocks from Modesto, California
than I am finish , done I have more chicks then I know what to do with already.
only 1 so far. they are not due until tomorrow.....

I will make available what ever the SWEETGRASS  girls lay this week.

Shipping is $12 if less than 6 eggs; and $16 if 7-12 eggs.

BIN at $2 per egg.

Please note, that an off chick may be possible as a narrigansett tom  had an illicit visit with one of the hens. lol Otherwise she lives with the Sweet grass tom.

I wish I had an updated pic of the Tom, his colors are bolder and more vivid as he is approaching his first birhday!!

I've wanted these forever but got the big NO from the love of my life. Maybe next year!

Lucky you hatching away! I have not used my incubator in 23 days! I am trying to not hatch for a few months. Doubt I will make it lol. Sounds like you have a really good assortment there. I know some other people that are ahving problems getting CL eggs to hatch. Not to be nosey, just curious, rose comb or single comb brown leghorns?
