The NEW Crazy 24hr AUCTION thread

This is my first time posting on this thread but everyone raves about it so I'd thought I'd give it a try. Let me know if I did not post correctly!

I have 12+ Purebred Silkie Hatching Eggs
Bidding Starts at $30 and shipping is an addition $13.45. Auction ends Tuesday November 22nd at 8pm EST. Will ship Wednesday morning. Payments made through PayPal.

Colors included in my pen are white, black and paint (almost all white and blacks are split to paint). I check fertility on a regular basis and thus far it has been 100%. I hatch white, black and paint chicks with the occasional partridge. I have 1 young cockerel that is non-bearded but from top lines (so he stays for now ). I pack with EXTRA care & time to ensure the eggs arrive in excellent condition but I can not control what happens once they are handed over to the USPS. Shipping is an additional $13.45. I will include as many extras as I can. Thank you.

Oh dang! Been wanting some paints but I have 0 Broodies right now and 23 chicks in a 1000 sq foot house that are stinky and too young to go out!

My bator is full so I'm expecting chicks soon myself. But I don't want to be brooding very long inside. Have you ever tried brooding outside with a heating pad cave? I only do it in winter but it does work.

No, not yet. I've put in my application and am waiting for my inspection/testing.

I would have to say that there is a chance. He's just reaching maturing now and starting to mate the girls. He's the one in the pic above. I was told that his offspring would most likely produce half bearded and half non bearded. But he is the youngest of 4 boys that cover the girls, all the rest bearded.

But, in Silkies, bearded and non-bearded are accepted by the APA and ABA...

So...
If you have bearded hens that have a single gene for beard, the and your beardless guy is the father, half of his babies will be beardless and half carriers of one gene (but sporting a beard).
