We bought a king sized bed when we had our 3rd baby. All our kids ended up sleeping with us when they were babies, so with a big bed, we can finally be comfortable!
I love the stage when the baby finally latches on consistantly and I can start nursing in bed at night instead of getting up. I wake up just enough to switch sides, help Jacob get latched on and we both go back to sleep. I used to work for a lactation consultant and she told me about some sleep research done - mothers and babies who sleep together share a sleep cycle. When you're in deep sleep, so's the baby. When you're in light sleep, so's the baby. Since baby's wake when they're in light sleep, they're waking you when you're in light sleep, too, so they never wake you from a deep sleep which makes night feedings so much less miserable. I love co-sleeping.
