Congrats, he is adorable. I want to gobble up those cheeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love to kiss those cheeks!
looks like we will ressurect this thread now!

Adorable kiddos everyone! The group of us that have 12-16 month olds use to chat all the time on this thread and then things died down. Maybe now that there's a new round of babies we'll get it going again.

Wyatt is 14 months today, walking (well, running) everywhere, starting to try and mimick words (we better start watching our mouths!), and just having a blast. I love this age! He's so much more independent. The separation anxiety he went through from about 9-12 months almost drove me up the wall!

Now I can actually get stuff done around the house and he just keeps himself entertained.

He's tons of fun to play with now too.

I'm sorry you were disappointed with this thread! Here I was in the expecting thread and couldn't wait to be posting to THIS thread.

Peyton had her first pediatric check up today since having left the hosptial. She is now 7lbs 7 ozs at 10 days old. She was 6lbs 10 ozs before leaving the hospital, so she had lost weight from her birth weight of 7.4 - so I'm super glad to know she's gained it back.

Kind of kills me that she's already 10 days old! September was dragging until September 19, and then it flew by!

Tell me about it!! Carly will be 5 weeks old tomorrow....

all the new babies are gorgeous. makes me sad because I should have another one... but since I have Arwyn I can't complain.

When are they too old to be posting in this thread? 14 months old, he's toddling everywhere! seems to be so much different every week now :-s he's so big, and tall for his age, he's come a long way from the tiny 6lb8oz baby he was last year! his hair's blonde curls, and he's such a happy boy...

how are you all?

which I am guessing will be never, since everyday is a new adventure especially to us 1st timers!

Love the pics from above of Wyatt sleeping on the 4 wheeler!

how am I? do I exist as a sole being? lol almost! I am finally enjoying motherhood after 3 months of total insanity. I now sleep 4 hours in a row twice a night! I sometimes feel like I know what I am doing. I watched a video I made of Shane and I when he was about 5 weeks old and I sounded like death warmed over. I still feel like I have some PTSD from those weeks.

on a serious note...I have noticed that I am super emotional lately, never been one to cry over stupid things but now if I read a book with a heartwarming story I cry. The other night I was tearing up because all 3 of us were hanging out while my DH played guitar and I really don't know why I found it such a touching moment. So...is it cause I am a mom now and maybe have a different outlook on some things or do you think I still have some wierd hormonal stuff going on? or lastly...do I need to get some medication?

and my hair might actually stop falling out soon, looks like it is slowing down!

How are the rest of you ladies fairing? how many of you are 1st timers like me?

I'm not a first timer, Peyton is number 6 but second girl for us. 12 years between our girls!

Wanted to share her hospital portraits. We haven't ordered them yet, but I'm hoping to this week.

The first one is our favorite, with the last one in the elf hat being our second favorite!

rcentner, I think it's because you are a mom, with maybe a little hormones in there still. There are many things kids do as they grow up that will make you cry, laugh, and just have a total warm fuzzy moment - because they are your kids and being a mom is like nothing else in the world. Especially in seeing everything through their eyes for the first time.

I think it takes a long time for your hormones to get back to normal, so it's probably that as much as anything.
I'm a first timer

First timer! I'm just 5 weeks in, but I am still emotional. I had a bad case of the baby blues while I was in the hospital. We were there for 5 days since Carly had jaundice and they kept her. I was about to go postal wanting some alone time with my new baby. You don't get a second alone in a hospital... Ugh! It has eased up alot over these last few weeks. But anything remotely sentimental about my sweet baby and the water works flow!!!
