The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

DMC & CF there was a featured thread a couple weeks ago that talked about the pros & cons of various heated waterers. Here's a link that might interest you:

I ended up with 2, one is a 3 gallon bottom fill waterer (kind of a pain to fill but does the job) and the other is a heated pet bowl I figured I could use as a back up.

I have a funny GPS story …..

Hubby is not a fan of GPS or asking directions, so when we were trying to find the Cat Specialist, he was driving and being in the passenger seat, I fired up the GPS which worked well until we hit road works and she kept sending us in a square!

So, he goes to work the next day and delights in telling the story to his colleagues and how his dislike of GPS is warranted. Anyways, one of his colleagues is South African and he relayed the story of how his GPS caused him to “drive into the ocean” to which quick witted hubby replied “and you washed up here?” .. cracked everyone up! :lau
OMG! I spewed coffee everywhere!! Hilarious!

This is the heated pet bowl I got:#42 I also got the thermostatically controlled outlet, it turns on at 35* and off at 45*.

I haven't used the bowl yet but the waterer is working fine so far. This is the 3-gallon waterer I got (before I read the reviews!):farm-innovators-all-seasons-heated-plastic-poultry-fountain-3-gal-model-hpf-100-100-watt.11363
That looks like the piece of garbage I have. The worst part of it is tipping it back over after filling it and hoping it doesn’t come apart. I have dumped it on the coop floor so have learned to tip it over outside. My cord broke right next to the plastic...usable with tape but unsafe so I have to get a new one.

Back from the golf and pizza lunch, everyone had a great time. Our 4-person team won the 9 hole scramble! :woot

It was a beautiful day to be out.

Sounds like a great time!

Good Morning Friends :hugs TGIF!! :celebrate

After 4 days of pretty much continual torrential rain, today we have a forecast of showers :yesss:

It is still overcast and windy but the wind will hopefully help to dry everything out.

While I have had my drivers licence since I was 17, I don’t really get to drive much nowadays. Working from home, besides bike rides and beach walks, the only time I leave the property is on the weekend to go in to town for garden supplies and groceries etc and hubby usually comes with me and drives. The last time I drove was probably 3-4 weeks ago.

N F C I am pleased you had a good time!

It wasn’t raining when I started this post but it is now, hopefully just one of the predicted showers; the radar definitely looks better than it has for days:
