All troll coats come one size fits most, so Ms. Troll's coat was perfect for her (and much appreciated). She had a bit too much skin displayed yesterday for these temps.

NO the doors do not freeze shut. water lines under the sink can freeze in some homes. By leaving the doors open heated air goes inside.

You are so lucky to not have to deal with water in the winter. Water wants to be solid and is just a pain for 7 months of the year.

Today ended up really nice it is a bright sunny 4 degrees now, I even took one layer of clothing off it was so nice.

and I got 7-8 eggs without cracks in them!

I try to get out there often enough to get them today I spent 4-5 hours outside so I had a better chance at them. BUT next weeks setting is going to be a little low. I may skip setting eggs next week and just take my chances with little older eggs instead of hatching half batch.

DH found out today he has to have some foot surgery done next month. He's already informed me he will be a major pita. And wants a bell for when he's bedridden. I vetoed the bell but he can still whistle louder than most people can yell.

Liquor doesn't freeze right? I think I need to start stocking up now.

He has to have bunion surgery done and then some time after that starts to heal, they want to fix his hernia.

Sheesh, I thought I was getting lucky marrying a guy younger than me...turns out, he's falling apart faster than I am!
