The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

He was trying to snuggle under Blackbird's wing who isn't quite big enough! We gave them some cardboard tubes and they love hiding in them. I've had some beautiful birds coming through in my older babies:

They seem to be silver with a peachy colour through them. Despite me not intending to keep any I think I will be! Hopefully DH won't notice!

Our fridge isn't keeping as cold as it should. Just what we need! It's 7 weeks out of warranty so we should still be covered under the Consumer Guarantees Act we have here that says an appliance should last for a 'reasonable' length of time. 2 years, 7 weeks is not reasonable for a fridge.

Pretty colored birds, I agree you should keep them!

Too bad about the fridge...7 weeks is definitely not reasonable.

Dinner is already in the oven and most the dishes washed. We had beef pot roast with vegetables a couple days ago. I kind of chopped everything up, put it in a pie pan and covered it with mashed taters...ta da! Shepard's pie.

The wind has been howling since yesterday, it kept waking me up last night. Still blowing strong. Poor chickens are all huddled under their coop, they do not look happy.

Good Morning Friends :hugs

CapricornFarm The hoop coop and goat shed are coming along nicely; looking good!

Yikes bruceha2000 I sure do hope you get power soon!

Jae love the adorable littlies pics!

As promised, some before and after pictures. My new BFF garden dude was awesome! I was truly amazed with how he managed to manoeuvre that Bob Cat around my much loved Avocado and Mandarin babies and the coop without breaking anything; he also tried very hard and succeeded in not digging up the existing lawn too much.

We had some excitement in that this little Peach Face was ‘found’ in one of the 30 foot palms, they are not native so someone’s pet. Anyways, he was hopping around in the palm while the dude was running the chain saw and then hopped onto his arm. We popped him into a cat carrier and posted his picture on our local buy, sell and swap site which is more like a community noticeboard and then I dropped him over to a wildlife carer in town. Anyways, we think we have found his owner [we will know today] and if it is this guy’s missing pet, he went missing 5 days ago .. so hoping we have a happy ending!

@Teila your before & after photos are amazing! I hope you get good news on the little found guy (what a cute face).

Yeah, I think he did an amazing job and that is now the worse of the undergrowth gone; the rest I can manage on my own. It is all positive from here on in with my being able to get the garden looking how I would like it. I was feeling very overwhelmed with what I had in front of me but much happier now.

I had a little dance in the dirt under the palms after he left, because I could! LOL

Yeah, the little Peach Face is adorable! I do hope that he does belong to this guy but if not, I may just have to keep him :p I would have to find him the right accommodation etc but the wildlife carer would be happy to help.

I looks very nice all cleaned up!
I watched a little bobcat dig out a swimming pool in the neighbors backyard. It is amazing what those little things can do
