:fl I hope you stay flu free!

Thank you! That's good to know!

Good Morning Friends :hugs

Hey Sour good question! I am not sure if Mr Gecko needs water :idunno He is not trapped and is free to come and go as he likes so I am thinking if he does, he must get some somehow; same as those who live in our lounge room and decorate the ceiling at night; keeps the cats entertained ;)

Thanks Cap I will spray some water in the track if our temps are high.

I have tried a couple of times to take his picture but he is a little camera shy .. I will keep trying.

Tee hee Ron that comic is apropos; when hubby was living in the US he used to work for a major greeting card company :lau

N F C good news about the ‘no competition’ :clap [Well, not good news that you got ripped off for lunch though] RIP Sjuse! :hit

Hey, so what do you mean by ‘BBQ Place’? We BBQ the majority of the time, if it can be cooked outside on the BBQ it is to save having the oven on inside in our climate. However, here in Aus, I do not think we have BBQ restaurants, depending on what that means?

Only 86F predicted for today but we have a strong wind warning, third day in a row. Sadly, over the next few days, the temp is predicted to creep back in to the mid 90's :sick

BBQ place is just a place that serves BBQ food. Depending on the place they can serve like everything or just have some things but usually it's all the staples, you know, like brisket, ribs, pulled pork, BBQ chicken, etc. etc. And of course some people argue over what is "real" BBQ or not. Some say the southern states are the best BBQ and some sauce it before serving and some don't but yeah. Basically just a place that serves BBQ food and often times if they're really good they'll make their own sauce. Sorry, I'm probably getting too complicated now lol

Nutmeg is good for an upset stomach, just don't have too much. I think half a teaspoon of ground nutmeg is the most an adult can have a day (without getting hallucinations). I put about a quarter of a teaspoon in a hot chocolate with about the same of ground cinnamon and it does help.

Hopefully you'll feel better soon! Goodluck for your quiz tonight.

Thanks! That's a good tip. I'm eating chicken noodle soup now (yes I had to reheat it lol) and was gonna have ginger ale. I was thinking of also having an orange and/or some blueberries or strawberries. I read that something about their color has some nutrient that helps with colds. I wanted to try garlic or apple cider vinegar, lemon, and honey in water (I've done that one a lot) but I don't want to upset my stomach even more. It's never made me sick but it's the braggs raw unpasteurized one so probably not the best idea.

I am basically trying every possible thing :lau

If we hadn't run out of emergen c or airborne i would take those too.

I haven't heard of nutmeg though. Sounds useful except for the hallucinations part lol

And thank you!

I'm not even really that sick but am being a baby lol the sore joints are the worst though

Thanks KD! I hope you feel better very soon :hugs

Besides the snakes, mosquitoes and centipedes, it is a good thing I enjoy sharing the house with the tropical wild life .. this little guy is currently napping on top of the deck door ... there was also one sitting on the bathroom window ledge last night.

No problem! Sorry for getting so complicated lol

It partially stemmed from this article I just read. I personally think it's a little bit elitist but then maybe they have good points, idk.

The discussion in the comments is good though and has given me lots of places I want to try.

And thank you!! I hope so too hah

I'm a huge baby about being sick. :lau

Morning folks:frow apparently I didn't post this this morning. :th
DH picked me up from dropping off my car for an oil change. We decided to do some undercover research and checked out the new BBQ place in town.

Let's just say, we don't have anything to worry about :bun

Nothing was fresh made, only 1 BBQ sauce, the ribs DH got were terribly salty, the cole slaw and potato salad were tasteless (no seasoning at all). And pricey, wow, it was $45 just for our lunch.

Nope, we're ok!

Debby, one of my friends who's mom was my mentor opened a restaurant, but had an adviser and changed all of mom's recipes. When I went I was so disappointed because she was my mentor as well. Rumor had it that she fed al capone every sunday.... Not sure it's true or not, but she did leave every sunday with a weeks worth of preparations and leave frozen fish sticks for sunday meal.

Either way as the restaurant started to fail, she asked for advice.. I told her to fire the adviser and cook her mom's recipes. She did and emailed all her customers with flavor coming back. and she turned it around.

What we call a BBQ place and you are two different things. Most BBQ places here smoke their meat. For you, if it's cooked on the barbie it's BBQ.

I'll offer a script that works for DW. a couple table spoons of local honey. a few drops of citrus oil that you like, a small dropper of rosemary oil and a slightly larger dropper of peppermint oil. a full cup of water and nuc for two minutes. Then add camamile lavender tea.

It seems to work wonders for female issues.
Thank you! That's good to know!
