The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Yes it does .... the weight I mean.... I had my mare 2000 lb Percheron bolt through the cross ties taking the two wheeled cart with her.... right over the top of me... She knocked me down and when I woke up she was gone and my neighbor was gone as well. I was laying between the cross ties not a mark on me... They are soo goood at not stepping on squishy stuff... if they can.

It was 105 degrees and I was broiling My neighbor came back and I asked what happened and he told me about calling 911. I said OK but what happened.... I wanted to know where my horse was.... He left because the authorities weree comeing and he had issues with people in uniform.

I got up and walked over to the bales of hay.. NO shade... I went to the horse trailer... No wind... I finally went to my front porch and sat down on the cool Concrete steps.... Shade wind and cool seating.

Paramedics came and started their routine... The fire department came and used ALL my water tank water to hose down the heliocopter pad.... Um er a failed arena... They strapped me to a board layed me on my back and it took four men to lift and carry me to the heliocopter.

At the ER the Doc came in and said the exrays show mild concussion.... Good news bad news was we couldnt find a brain...

IF I had known I could have refused the ride I would have.... As an adult you can. It took me six years to pay off my copay....

deb
All I can say is ...wow! Glad you came out ok. Six years to pay. That one took a while to get over in more than one way! Bet you hopped right back up in the saddle when you could..so to speak.

Not really, with a stern voice told him to stop! And he finally did after about the 3rd time of telling him...I think he finally figured out I wasn't playing! :D
i tend to yell at mine when she jumps on me, sometimes i have to do it twice, altho we trim nails, she has such clod hoppers that it really hurts, i usually bleed, shes an english bulldog

I caught up, I caught up!!!

Nice my hiney... she was scared spitless!! :lau
That was my take. The chick was oblivious to the potential of that huge mouth next to it and Fiona was "WHOA this thing is scary!"

I sure can’t imagine Kim Kardashian living out here.....one winter and she’ll be gone!!
Just another summer occasional weekend place for them I would guess.

So that would be February and a week in November. :lau)
Nope! There are 3 ski areas in the Jackson area so February would be a busy time, you can still keep the single week in Nov after foliage season and before the ski areas open though. That's when the hotel/motel/inn owners go on vacation in Stowe.

these two? Yeah..... not so much.
Whaaaaaaat?? You mean they aren't "regular people"? Say it ain't so!

I MISS BRUCE!!!! :hit:hit:hit:hit:hit
Ahh, I miss you too Blooie!

That said, didn’t he go to Canada recently? Maybe he’s still there?
Got home about an hour after you posted that ;) Kinda hard to keep up with forums and YouTube channels one follows when every day is spent on the road.

Friday and Sat all day getting to Moncton, NB. Stayed in Waterville ME Friday, had dinner with SuperChemicalGirl :D

Got DD1 into her dorm at Mt. Allison in Sackville, NB on Sunday and drove the 2 hours to Charlottetown, PEI. Had dinner and walked the boardwalk. Played tourist Mon-Wed, headed back to Sackville Thursday, with the cheese (3 Y/O cheddar) and chocolate DD had requested. Spent the night in Cocagne at a B&B we stayed at when we dropped her at school last January. Drove home Friday and Saturday, stayed in Bangor Fri night, had dinner with LazyGardner and her DH :D.

Idk, I am not stalking him, lol! Not much to do there, a weekend would cover it.
Well, maybe a BIT more! We saw part of the middle and the east end of the Island. Arrived Sunday late afternoon left Thursday morning. Paid our $47.75 Canadian ransom to use the bridge on the way out. A couple of places we planned to go to were closed ... Labor Day. On the up side, since it was "post season" on Wednesday, we didn't have to pay to go to the park in Greenwich. Walked about 6 miles there.

Prince Edward Island, a Canadian province. Well known for growing potatoes and lobster fishing.
And mussels! We did our part to support the local mussel growers :) Saw signs for new PEI potatoes all over the place, glad they weren't USED PEI potatoes ;). I don't remember the numbers DW found in a guide of some sort but there are dozens and dozens of varieties of potatoes grown. And they grow a huge quantity of Canadian potatoes are grown on PEI. The entire island is only about 20% of the land mass of Vermont and we ALL know how small that is (even though the vast majority of maple syrup produced in the USA is in Vermont).

I work daycare tomorrow 8-5:30 but I get an hour break to go for an Ortho. How crazy is it that I’m excited about that:lol:
Work has to be bad when getting your braces cranked is preferable!

I have to get up early to call the bus dispatcher and ask to be put on "next day's bus." He usually says NO so usually go back to bed (cursing him out in my dreams).
Um, did that guy use to run a medical insurance company or something? Isn't it his JOB to get people where they need to go on the bus??

I wonder if they make "Get well cards," for vertigo sufferers? Had my worst attack the other day taking a shower. Managed 'NOT' to pull the towel rod off the wall. And in and out twice to barf in the commode.
No way I am going to click the "Like" button on that !!!!! I sure hope you've recovered.

I am attending a Native American Pow Wow soon and may meet up with another favorite BYCER. I do wonder if wearing blue jeans (wear them daily-even in summer) would be disrespectful. I would wear a blouse, if t-shirts are a bad idea (no slogans on them). Or long sleeved tops if sunburn is a concern and wide brimmed sunhat, for same reason.

I do hope to find real Native American crafts I can purchase, with no "made in china," tags.

Wish Redbone would be in attendance but, there aren't any musicians attending. :(
Ooh, ooh, pictures when it happens??? And who might his BYC'er be? No one we know from Texas I suppose.

anyway who knew cats liked water:lol:
Maybe wouldn't have liked it as much had he caught it.
