All I can say is ...wow! Glad you came out ok. Six years to pay. That one took a while to get over in more than one way! Bet you hopped right back up in the saddle when you could..so to speak.Yes it does .... the weight I mean.... I had my mare 2000 lb Percheron bolt through the cross ties taking the two wheeled cart with her.... right over the top of me... She knocked me down and when I woke up she was gone and my neighbor was gone as well. I was laying between the cross ties not a mark on me... They are soo goood at not stepping on squishy stuff... if they can.
It was 105 degrees and I was broiling My neighbor came back and I asked what happened and he told me about calling 911. I said OK but what happened.... I wanted to know where my horse was.... He left because the authorities weree comeing and he had issues with people in uniform.
I got up and walked over to the bales of hay.. NO shade... I went to the horse trailer... No wind... I finally went to my front porch and sat down on the cool Concrete steps.... Shade wind and cool seating.
Paramedics came and started their routine... The fire department came and used ALL my water tank water to hose down the heliocopter pad.... Um er a failed arena... They strapped me to a board layed me on my back and it took four men to lift and carry me to the heliocopter.
At the ER the Doc came in and said the exrays show mild concussion.... Good news bad news was we couldnt find a brain...
IF I had known I could have refused the ride I would have.... As an adult you can. It took me six years to pay off my copay....
