We are out in the country, closest (and only) neighbors are 1/4 mile away to either side (nothing but cornfield surrounding us and across the road). They might be able to hear my roos (I have four - all Bantams, the Silky is the loudest) if they happen to be outside and the wind is just right, but doubtful. We can't even hear them from most parts of the house. We are up on a hill, though and sometimes we can hear some peacocks that live a couple miles away (always sounds like they are yelling, "Help! help!"). However, right now is the time of year when the farmers to one side are running the grain dryer on their silo 24/7. It is very loud. When they first turn it on, we can't hear ourselves think outside, then I guess we get used to it and then...deafening silence when they turn it off. Anyway, it beats all my roos all to heck for noise.
