The OHIO NATIONAL 2010

Ohio was awesome! Met some of BYCers - went out to the sculpture at noon for the meet & greet, but no one was really chattin' it up. Had dinner with Gretchen and Maria, saw Jeremy and Christine and April and Cassandra, plus others that I will remember later. Met Neil Grassbaugh - what a great guy! We did all hang for a pic that someone said they were going to post. Got a Jersey Giant Pullet and a BLRW pullet. How did everyone get to meet Mrs. Turbo but me? Tried to get some birds off the show floor, but no one was selling. Got a third for my Fav bantam roo. Everyone should go to this once in their life! (Only not next year - we'll all be in Indianapolis!) Here's some pics from inside - from left to right - be jealous:

In that first pic, the two gals standing in the bottom center of your pic, is ME and BeccaOh!! In that box I'm holding is a pair of Bantam Salmon Fav's from BuffBeauty!!! (I'm wearing my black BYC shirt that says "My Pet Makes Me Breakfast!"

I can even tell you what we were doing - trying to decide if we wanted to buy one of those display coops at the discounted price!! We didn't, though!

Further up in your pick, lady in pink shirt with blue jacket and cap looking at the chicken pluckers - that's Turtleblossom! Another BYC'er!!

I purchased a GORGEOUS young group of BLRW from Mrs. Turbo - and I got a pic taken with her and her husband (he jumped in at the last sec LOL) they are SUPER NICE people and I'm so pleased with the birds I got! In fact, the oldest pullet laid her first egg on the way home!!

I got to go this year. I had a good time.

I missed the BYC meet though.

And I searched out people but only found cages, I had no clue how to track down specifc people. I wanted to meet the foleys and get some BLRW but only saw a foley cage as I was leaving I wanted to get the Black laced hen but no one was to be found. Wish I could of found more people, I was just kind of lost in the craziness, and didn't get to look like I wanted.

I did get two porcelian silkies from April, and some Brahmas from Kendra Alderich.

Couldn't find anyone else.

Would of loved to take home some more birds, but didn't know who owned what. lol.

I agree, would have bought more birds, but I could not locate sellers either. Note to sellers for the next big show...put your cell number on the card so people can contact you!

They did just great! They are loving their little duck pond! Thank you so much!

I also had a hard time finding some sellers. Some did have cell phone numbers written down. Some answered and some didn't. 1 seller I really wanted birds off of didn't answer after a few attempts and about 40 min later, somebody else ended up buying the birds when I walked away to look for the seller and take birds outside. Then I got the phone call. I was bummed but alot of the sellers were busy with the show birds. They should've had a pic of themselves on the cards so we can walk around and identify them LOL!

We had my number down on the cards, and I just parked myself in the sales area. But everytime I started to walk away to the BR or to get something to drink, my phone would ring. Finally floated my way out to the BR about 3 pm! Hubby had a GREAT time walking around having a blast talking to other breeders. Had to beg him to come over so I could get a break. He had the nerve to call me and ask if I was coming back to the sale cages so he could get a BREAK!!!!
