The Old Folks Home

FYI, currant plants will root from cuttings. Told my 82yr old FIL about these plants I found, brought him a branch I figured poisonous, he popped a couple berries in his mouth :eek:and said black currants. He has red and white but no black, these suckers are growing wild. Told me to put the branch in water and it'll root... It died..
All the leaves falled off and the berries dried up. Been three months dead just haven't thrown it away.
Holy carp, green stuff growing from it and roots. And buds up the rest you can't see them though. Boo the cat checking it out also.View attachment 1918852 View attachment 1918854

That's way cool...now go plant it, in something big..not sure it can go outside for your winter weather?

I guess sometimes it is best to procrastinate!

I have 3 currant plants outside - champagne, red and black. Though at this point Beer might want to keep it in pot inside for the winter so it can get a good start in the spring.

5 years, huh? Oh man...................

Probably right though. Dingo didn't start getting any 'smarts' until he was 6..poor guy, by 8 he was showing early signs of DM by 10.5, gone. I'd give anything to have him back even if he had the mentality of a two year old.
