Ghee is wonderful!

I buy it from costco

I bought thee packages for 5.99 each Each had three pounds of butter in it... from Smart and Final. I made two into ghee. put it in 16 oz jars... six jars.

for twelve bucks... I suspect store bought Ghee is more than two dollars a piece.

I bought sweet cream butter... First Street brand. the gal that did the video I followed said buy Costco butter Not anything fancy. It takes twenty minutes to make.

It is about $18.00 for 3.5 pounds of ghee at Costco. It is very convenient. I might re use the jar and make my own next time

morning every one.... first batch of Ghee came out perfect. Second batch Came out less roasted... I got tired and shaky... Been doing too much and towards the end I just wanted to get it done.

I did a lot yesterday though...unpacked broke down boxes Canisters came so I can pack my dry goods...

Today I need to break down the big boxes in the garage because I have some big things arriving tomorrow.

Lows had craftsman on Sale. A big work table adjustable height. And I bought two Tool chests about the same size as a kitchen cabinet ON Wheels. All three are going in my kitchen at the house. My kitchen has only ONE set of drawers and they are falling apart. So The tool carts will do kitchen duty till I can Rehab the floor and put in Ikea cabinets... or something similar.

Oh and I bought a portable Dishwasher. Its convertible too so I may convert it. But I am liking everything to be on wheels or movable. This will allow me to Sweep and mop even under the counters.

All these are coming tomorrow. Not unpacking them so they are easier to move when the moving van comes.

Oh and my huge over the stove cutting board came I unpacked it and put it together... Its awesome. covers the whole stove and the legs fit the stove top so Noting goes on the counter tops. Grandmas Kitchen is Very small. Mine is smaller counter space wise.

its bamboo. and big enough to place the Roaster oven on top for cooking the turkey. Oh and its bamboo. eco friendly.

I am getting tired reading about all the work!

Hi Perchie! I am so happy to see that you are enjoying life and moving forward. You have your head up looking straight ahead. You have been though a lot this past year but the worst is behind you and I am thrilled hearing about your plans for restoring and redecorating your home.

Remember not to overdo. A little is always better than a lot when you are dealing with remodeling. It will be there tomorrow for you.

In the meantime, keep up the good work.

I think I've been moving all day, physically that is. We discovered that our spare fence energizer is deceased. DH did his best,working on it all day trying to find the bad parts on it but finally pulled a blanket over it's head and we said a prayer over it. We got it at an auction for 5$ so we got our money's worth out of it and more. Now we are trying to find a replacement for it.

Time to run a hot wire around the top of the back yard fence. Ben has figured out how to launch himself up 4 feet, hook his front feet over the top of the wire near a post where it is taunt, then using his back legs, climbing up the climb proof goat fence we have as the back yard fencing. Yeah, goats can't climb it but cattle dogs, no problem. He's up and over before we can even say 'BEN NO!'. He is really funny tho. He only does it when he sees us out with the other dogs. He wants to join in the fun.

So instead of let the dog in let the dog out it's put the dog back in the yard...put the dog back in the yard.....put the dog back in the yard...put the dog back in the yard. Every time having to carry the 38 pound moose back to the house and stuff him back inside the utility room.

I told DH that we couldn't complain. They were keeping us active and young. DH just grumbled that he could complain and would complain, LOL.

Yeah, we know, Penny, but in all honesty now that we have figured out a plan....we hope....to keep dogs and cats separated we feel like we are making headway with training and managing the little hellions. We take two or three out once a day and let them run and boy do they run. Man these dogs are fast. We make sure to take one of the older dogs out with us and the youngsters stay with them, although neither Buck or Spot can keep up with them when they open up the speed.

The truly amazing and humbling thing about them is their open adoration for mommy and daddy. I wonder some times if they realize how close to not surviving they were when we loaded them in the van and brought them home that day last April. Maybe they do............
