Actually, my mind turned to Edgar Allan Poe's "The Masque of the Red Death."

My birth state of Illinois just went into lock down. I have family and friends there. My husband's home state has activated the Guard.

The virus is spreading across the southern part of our adopted state.

I can't think of one single solitary funny thing to write at the moment. I heard somebody say on our radio last week that they thought all this Corona Virus stuff was a bunch of hype that he wasn't taking seriously.....I'm afraid if I was in the same room with him right now I'd slap him silly and then they would be pulling parts of me out of him.

God help us all and protect us is the only thing I can think of to say at the moment.

Some of our local beach communities have closed to the public. Beach house rentals are big business around here, but of course that's been suspended indefinitely. What a shame that you have to build walls to protect people from their own foolishness; just saying "don't go there" isn't enough.

I am waiting to see if the new stay at home rule here in CA will be followed.

Luckily our technological advances (and some testing mandates) can facilitate sooner vaccine/cure production. It took over a year to identify all the parameters for AIDS. Covid-19 was much, much swifter once data was available. I truly believe we'll see a vaccine for it in this year's flu pack.

(I'm pretty sure if I can live through 62 that I'm good 'til 76)

We have plenty of N95 masks and rubber gloves Lysol and Clorox wipes, we bought the masks last year as BF was worried I had pneumonia and the fires smoke were killing me

Dang... that is sad news.

An aids vaccine sure would be nice.

There is no guarantee that a vaccine for covid19 will work. We cannot make one for the common cold LOL!
