Rural king has a sale on, $0.99 per 6 pack of plants. Sounds good to me.

I once, to get a faster start, started carrots in a tray in the greenhouse. That's not fair! That's cheatin....(psssst where did you get them?)
I have also bought some tiny seeds that are made a bit bigger by clay... so you can see them. They have seeds attached to tape too, helps with small ones.
I once, to get a faster start, started carrots in a tray in the greenhouse.
I only waited until they were barely past the "just sprouted" stage before planting...
BUT, their little tap roots, though thinner than a hair, were LONG!
While transplanting them I didn't make the holes as deep as the roots...
When we harvested them, it was actually fun. The tiny hair roots had NOT straightened themselves out, but had grown exactly as planted.... those hairs just grew into fat carrots bent into tangled messes.
Impossible to wash them well... but otherwise fun for the kids.
In hindsight... I should have planned it, and made them into letters, instead of tangles...had I know what I was doing.
