The Old Folks Home

With all the newly acquired computer parts, they gave me a code for a free game called Death Stranding. I had a dickens of a time figuring out how to redeem the code, and get the game, but I finally got the instructions. It's downloading now.

We ordered the Sony STR-DN1080 Receiver. Now I will be able to play real 4k content on both my computer, and tv. It will be here in a few days.

I have an older Sony STR-DG1200 Receiver. It maxes out at 1080p. I hooked in all the new cables, putting the one from my computer into the pass-through channel. I looked, and my computer recognized the 4k UHD resolution, instead of the 1080. I was surprised, and fascinated. I began playing a real 4k movie. For about 10 minutes, it was AWESOME.

After about 10 minutes, the screen froze. I went into the settings, and the resolution was back down to 1080. I restarted the movie. Yes, it played, but not at the much higher resolution. For an old receiver, that was not even suppose to be able to do 4k at all, is very impressive. Good quality product. I hope the new one lives up to the quality.

So odd... a few if those were mailed up here to Alaska (not to me personally)
Nobody is sure what they are. It would be just like them to send a genetically modified invasive species, that weed killer can't eradicate. Even worse, what if they cause skin burns, or are highly toxic? I would be turning them over to the Dept. of Ag. as soon as possible, if I got any.

At least not in DW's work environment. Who knows who all was exposed outside work or at the spouse's work location. I know nothing about where that is or what sort of work.

Are you trying to tell us something?? ;)

OK, I had to look that up. There are advantages to not having any TV service ;)

Great, they have found yet another way to "cover up" stink with yet another stink.
:lau nahh, just a general observation. ;) :lau
