sometimes I feel like a poor example of chicken lover with our small bunch. Some people here amaze me with their flocks of different birds

There are those here that had chickens before miss them but cannot have now ..
I was 15 1/2 left the farm for college no birds till I was retired here at 55 .. Did not miss them as did not enter the mind I worked too much

lately, the weather is the only subject that doesn't stir up a hornets nest!

Yeah EVERYONE is happy to complain about the weather a lot of the time and occasionaly be able to talk about how nice it was 'today'.

It is 88 here now to warm to be comfortable birs think so to 5 eggs so far 23 birds?

Dang and here I was about to complain about getting another two inches of rain overnight and the chickens wearing little muck boots.

Yep, gotta agree it's our sparkling personalities for certain that and the fact that we are old and can say whatever we darned well please (as long as it doesn't get us banned) and the young folks need to say yes ma'am yes sir to us and not talk back too much.
