The Old Folks Home

@bruceha2000. We found it in Indiana. Maybe Craigslist. Rice tires, mowing deck. It was sold originally by Bolens and has both labels on it.

Ours is PTO and pulls a 60" finishing mower. The little tractor that could has never given us a minute's trouble.

I had a Deutz Allis yrs ago, actually got it free, solid heavy duty best lawn tractor I ever had. Found out later it was just a rebranded painted green Simplicity.
Way better machine than the Husqvarna I have now. It would take awhile to explain all the repairing and welding I've done on it to keep it going.

I have a real love for tractors, from the little guys to the big monstrous harvesters that rumble in the fields in the summer/fall. When we used to ride our bikes to work we would get behind one moving between fields that used to take up all of the two lane country road.

I miss that here. Mainly cattle and sheep/goat production with minor fields being planted due to the hills and ridges around us.

I used to gauge the seasons using the fields crop development. Always knew fall was coming with the crops started dying back and spring was when the farmers started cultivating.

Cows aren't good gauges of seasons, although they will tell you when bad weather is moving in.

Sooooo so glad I live in an area, hilly or not, that not only has cattle grazing in large fields, but crops being worked in an equal amount of acreage! Love life year round down here.

Don't worry! If you don't clean the floor the grout will turn brown on its own.

LOL. One of the things I was taught about tile is you get grout to either match the tile or match your dirt.

I'm a little red tractor gal myself. I really enjoy cruising around on the Troy-Bilt Bronco enjoying the zen of mowing. No complaints except my front tire keeps going flat and they no longer make the proper size chute for the bagging attachment, so I may need to buy the new & improved accessory. I've been mowing without the bagger and it appears the rustic mulch is adequate.

Several in my group of gal pals have little red tractors....except Wanda. Her husband is head of the local tractor club and her front yard has oodles of all shapes and sizes and ages. They come out for parades, pulling the hay wagon at Harvest Festival, and pop-up attractions on Father's Day where dads and kids get to climb all over them. I should ask her if she has a preference.... One neighbor up the street has an old two-stroke tractor that he wrenches, revs and rides on occasion. Always seems to multiple backfire out in front of our house, so the dogs aren't fans. It's a hoot. This village is like a modern-day Green Acres.
