Some people like to research so things don't come as a surprise![]()
I dunno, I’ve met some shifty dogs.I fully understand. There is no deception with dogs.
The smart ones...I dunno, I’ve met some shifty dogs.![]()

I hope it is quieter today after the three are gone!Dd #2 came over a bit late, but we did get 3 cockerels processed. She'll come again on her next day off, and we'll finish them up. We had an audience today. Dh, Dd #1, and the grands watched us process 1 of them. It went well. They're not fans, but nobody fainted, or ran off screaming, and nobody's head exploded. It's better than they've done before. Usually, Dh insists I do it on one of his work nights, because he can sleep through it, and all evidence is gone by the time he wakes up. Dd #1 stays in the house, and won't venture out until she's sure it's all over, and cleaned up.
I really need a tub chicken plucker. I need the money for one too, but that's besides the point.
I tried giving my hens timothy hay cubes...It is one thing they will not touch! With all the Hawks and dogs around they have to stay in the pen most of the time. I know there's a lot of disagreement about letting them have alfalfa hay (including the price and crop blockage) but They spend a lot of time scratching in it.. see the difference between the store egg and the home grown one?
