I got laundry going, picking up stuff off my stairs, broke up dried bread i give to the birds in the soups i make them. Going out soon to treat the biggest youngsters that looked a bit off. Mashed up 2 eggs for them as well.

Saturday, we toured the Morikami Japanese Gardens, and Museum. https://morikami.org/
It was fun, beautiful, and HOT. There is plenty of shade, etc., but there was not a breath of breeze stirring while we were there. Had there been a bit of a breeze, with the number of trees, and amount of shade, it would have been totally comfortable, even as hot as it was.

When we finished up at the garden, it was lunch time. The kids all voted for sushi, so we headed to a local sushi-seafood restaurant. The food was great. Everything was fresh, and the rolls were large, and the ingredients were generous. We headed back to the room for showers, and a rest.

Later that night, we decided on Cracker Barrel. I was totally taken by surprise when they had less food on the menu, BUT they now serve a fairly large selection of beer, and wine.

After eating, we sat in the rockers outside. While we were sitting there, a young pullet came up, flew up onto one of the backs of a rocker, and settled in to roost for the night. Understand, we are near the beach, in a densely populated city area, with lots of tourists to boot. It's the last place one would expect to find a chicken. BUT there it was. The coloring was like a BCM. It looked to be well kept.

We've had several storms brewing out in the ocean. We checked the weather later that night, and the chances of rain increased from 24% to 56%. In other words, no beach trip the next day. We decided that instead of waiting til morning, and driving through bad weather, we'd go ahead and head for home. We got home about 3:30 am. It was wonderful getting into our own beds, after such a strenuous day.

Due to the storm stalling, and collecting force, it did not rain the next day, as expected. It was ok. We were all tired after miles of walking through the gardens in all that heat. Dd, and I spent a lazy day yesterday. The kids were satisfied spending the day swimming in the pool.

The gardens is a beautiful place indeed.. I visited a smaller version south of there when I lived in Hallendale, FL Ichimura and Parrot Jungle.
