I struggle too and after a year I will have to hire an advocate though I don't know how to pay for it. It will start with selling off some hens and chicks. We do what we have to do because WE are the front line for our kids and we are their advocate. We advocate for our children.
I too worry about when I am gone and keep pressing my two boys to learn skills and step by step become independent and capable. BUt Hell it is a long process. You are doing a good job-- none of us are perfect-- that is ok-- just keep at it.
