    I used to live in Red Bluff. It is really hard to describe that kind of heat. Once it was 121.9 two days in a row....

    So I'm either sick or I have a heat injury. Been laid up all day, it was all I could do to get those little ducks back in bed tonight.
    I'm not complaining, praise God I was able to get it done at all.

    Drink lots of water!

    Electrolytes are important too. Heat stress is not funny and is very dangerous. More die of heat than cold each year.

  5. Ron beat me to it! Drink lots and lots of water there subhanalah... til you think you might drown, then drink some more.

    My Dad would drink a quart of water after working in the Orchard.

    In the Heat, we often do not recognize that we are becoming dehydrated. It is very important to drink extra water when fasting too.

    @superchemicalgirl - the summer super vortex is supposed to hit here tonight tho yesterday we already broke a record low, woo hoo [​IMG] Hot and sticky this morning. Already in the 60's with rain moving in later then it's ................................................splat.
    Oh well, maybe then my chooks will start laying again.
