Yup. Got two big boys from her and she's still with us. She's about 10 years old now.

Yah gastric torsion is nothing to fool with. Back in the 70's vets advised NOT to feed dry food and then let the dog tank up on water. I used to let the feed soak a bit first and then would wait 2 hours before putting the water bowls out.

Of course that was in the stone age. I would imagine vets know lot more now.

Idk linda... but naked necks and emus wig me out. Oh and my neighbor has a turkey with a blue face that is also pretty crazy looking. Its coop is a 1977 ford bronco. Must be the anti theft package cause it doesnt have wheels or an engine. Nor a top. Im going to get a pic of him perched on the roll bars if i can

Here's the most unusual bird on the forum. Genetic abnormality. Turken called Rudy . Check out Kassaundras pics on post 10865

She's very proud of Rudy. He's famous.

Lesson learned - when you let the chickens out of their run, check that you didn't leave a labrador in the yard. The mash was apparently delicious, all 2 liters of it. We had to induce vomiting with salt. Here's what came up:
Not something you want gulping around an active dogs stomach. Sorry for the graphic pictures, but I thought I'd post this as a warning.
Oh my gosh! Do you think something tore? Looks like blood in the vomit?
Tripadvisor.com was totally wrong about chicktanamo bay as a vacation destination
Hahaha! Please don't share what they did to you there, you'd be banned4lyfe.
Those small ones work great for things that loose all of their settings when the power drops for a few seconds so that you don't have to go back and set everything. Just turn the beepers off so they don't wake you up in the middle of the night.
HOW do you turn that stupid beep off!?
I am still banned from a thread. I got a warning infraction for arguing (can you believe I could be argumentative) and ever since I do not have sufficient privileges to access that forum.
Not argumentative...just...right. that's why I get warnings and infractions too! Lol
I read something about that. I was planning on using a dilute VC solute to wash any dirty eggs. The C is supposed to lessen stress on the embryo at the end of the incubation period. It grows slowly and a long season crop. Around here we plant in the fall and harvest early summer. At least that's what I've always done. I caught 2 coons, 2 possums and shot a mink recently. I'll surely keep the count updated. I may even sue Walmart for sending the mink my way. Tell them they taste just like chicken. A friend of mine does have silkies and turkeys as therapy animals.
You totally should, and don't forget the pain and suffering! Seeing your believed animals massacred in such a way causes severe and permanent emotional scars.
