Squirrel season is coming up October 1st in Maine. I wonder if I could pressure can squirrel (like you can other meats) and send you some?
My pressure canning book has rabbit (listed under the heading "poultry"????), bear & venison but they skipped squirrel.

Squirrel season in Alabama is October through February. Limit of 8 per day....

If I need a laugh, I am guaranteed to get one if I pay a visit to the 'The Old Folks Home'. You guys and gals crack me up on a daily basis and I love it!

Not so sure my computer monitor feels the same way; it is probably way over being spluttered with coffee on pretty much a daily basis.

ive tried frying and grilling them. The meat is super tough. I recommend slow and low heat cooking for a couple hours

Maybe that is one of the reasons for soaking it in milk over night.
