The Old Folks Home

My grandfather ran bootleg whiskey in his area when he was a kid with the mob. We still have "FAMILY" in his hometown
My grandmother used to tell stories about how the neighbor used to take them with him on his deliveries. A family out for a drive looked less suspicious than a man driving alone, so he got to deliver the booze he made without getting arrested.

staggered hatches can work fine.
I set eggs every 3 or 4 days (when I'm not stupid)

How does that work with only one incubator? Doesn't the fluctuation in humidity for lockdown have an adverse effect?

Well, over-ordering (for once) adequately compensates as out of the 40-ish eggs I will actually have I should be able to -- the hatching gods willing -- end up with 8-10 fem chicks.

Even without the fourth batch of eggs coming in I'll have a crowded incubator. At least I won't have to decide who doesn't ride the racks as there will be room for all.
(Did I mention I was a hatchaholic? Oh, yeah. A good incubator is a full incubator)

@chickisoup Yay! Congrats. You never said if they biopsied the mass on Angel's head, could it just have been some sort of allergic reaction to something? Perhaps a snake or insect bite? Anyway, I'm glad she's okay. And good news about your condition too. They say bad things come in three, but why couldn't the same go for good things too? Hopefully your husband's brother's surgery will be a breeze too.

THANK YOU VEHVE! yep, I did mention that there were in fact two biopsies done (somewhere in the middle of one of the posts). One examined by the vet, which was inconclusive so she took another and shipped it off with the Blast urine to the lab. No answers. full tox screen had been done as well. Just to be sure she's on the Meloxacam (veterinary version) and the prednisone eye drops for another week. Hoping you are right about the good things! hadn't thought of that!

WARNING! IF YOU DO NOT BELIEVE IN MIRACLES, DO NOT READ ON!!!

I really thought after all the blessings and miracles in my life already that I might have hit my "quota" . Fortunately it appears I had not hit my credit limit on Grace. First, I had my appointment on Wednesday to my oncologist to check how I was doing with the Leukemia. It is a very long drive and was not happy with taking my sick little Angel on a roadtrip, but there was no choice. Fortunately, she did very well, tho with the fever we had to up the air conditioning to keep her comfortable. Anyway, not only were my tests good, I am still in remission!

Ok, here comes the real miracle part...... I already told you we have a MAJOR roadtrip on Monday to visit my husband's brother before the brain surgery to remove the tumor wrapped around the main artery to his brain. The trip is not optional of course, and our puppy would have to go along no matter what the test results said was wrong with her. We take to the vet this morning to hear the results and...........................
Well.........here it comes.................the eyes so cloudy she could barely see thru are now clear,,,,the mass on the side of her head is gone,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
and all the tests, every one, came back NEGATIVE!!!!

I humbly thank you, Lord.
Praise the Lord Chicki! That is so awesome!!!!!
