The Old Folks Home

It was a beautiful evening here today...

The neighbors tree is turning..the sun was starting to go down..

The above photo was taken from our stores' parking lot..loved the clouds over the mountains..the sun is really going down by now.

At a stop sign heading home. My camera isn't the best for sure, but this was really pretty the way the sun was hitting it.

Off my back porch when we got home.

Another from the back porch, there is a hole in the clouds. :)

It was such a gorgeous day that I spent all of it outside. Then Miss Maddy and I brined and baked one of the roosters we processed earlier this week...along with mashed potatoes, carrots from our garden and pan gravy. Had toasted bread with basil butter.

Here are some pics of my flock enjoying the day.

And of course, my little sous chef.

and just for throw back thursday.

Ooh that last one is almost a yin and yang symbol

Deb, funny you should mention that, we've had cloud cover the last few days off and on, and it seems if you look long enough, you can always see something in them. Yep.

Meatballs made with half, pork half ground sirloin, two day old bread, parsley and egg to bind. Fried in olive oil. Then cooked in a good thick tomato based spaghetti sauce.

Left over meatballs, sauteed egg plant and provolone on a French baguette.

Maybe I am sharing too much.

Bamadude may try and steal my wife away
lol. She would throw rocks at me bro. Sounds like some good sandwiches tho.
