Thanks for the condolences. It was expected though, the heart has been going for a while though. She didn't seem to be in pain before now though, just tired easily. This was Karins first own dog she's had to put down, so it was a bit hard. I was familiar with it from when my parent's dog went. But Karins parents took it the hardest, and it was the same way it always is. The women crying by the dog, but it's the men that take it the hardest, often having to leave the room. Same with Karin's dad. But Wilhelmina didn't have to suffer, that's the most important thing.

We'll send her for cremation tomorrow and bury her at the cottage.

16 years is a very, very long life for a dachshund; ya'll obviously took amazing care of her. As painful as it is to send them over the rainbow bridge, sometimes it is part of that kind of care.

Chickadoodles, I love your storm picture. Without even trying I can see a man's face on the right side, looking left. He has a pompadour hairdo, with hawkish nose, bushy eyebrows and beard. I kid you not.

So how come years ago I flunked the inkblot test. The Dr.said what do you see with each card, and I kept saying nothing. Of course I was depressed at the time but, nothing came to me. If I had a quick wit like Bama, I would have said "First one is SH, second one the same, third, same SH different day," or something like that.


Vehve & Karin so sorry to hear about Willimina - what a beautiful lady she was.

I have a 6 mos. Golden feather membership too but, don't know how to do anything with it. It blocks the side ads but, not the pop ups that accidentally get activated . I was blocking the side ads without gimmicks before. Just reduce the size on the monitor, and it cuts the side off. I just see the meat.
