The Old Folks Home

Speaking of being worried, anyone know anything about @subhanalah ? She hasn't been online in a month...
There was an incident that happened about then and I suspect two users were sent to BYC jail. Shhh. we are not supposed to talk about stuff like that. There is a rule.

One of them came back.

I was sort of suspecting that, I missed the incident but saw mentions of it. Well, hopefully she was just sent to BYC jail, and that nothings wrong with her. I just got a little worried due to a private conversation we had, but I don't have any way of contacting her.
The posts were removed and I do not think I saw all of them.

The other person may be on a block list or two

Perchie, social phobias kept me safe during my teen years, so never smoke, drank, did anything "else," If, it could be called "safe" actually I felt like I missed the bus. In my late 30's and 40's and beyond I started revisiting things I missed as a teen. Had my son when I was 38. He just had his 29 th. birthday Sunday. Boy, they grow up fast - like chicks.

I was pretty much the same way disappeared into my horse and horse activities.... I tried to be invisible in school.... If I were walking down the street and saw someone from school walking toward me I would cross the street.

I Caught up in my middle to late twenties... Had my son when I was 34... Hes going to be 25 in two weeks. and yep they do grow fast. He was older than me by the time he was ten.... in many ways.

I have her phone number somewhere and can text or call her if you need to reach her.

Quote: I know it can be heart breaking! So when ever I don't notice someone for awhile on here or in my friends around here or family I have to find out what is up! I don't like it when ppl just disappear with out any notice bad things come to mind. If we all try to keep up with all our friends then just maybe we could help in an emergency! Like Linda (grey eyes) she has not been on in forever!

We went to Vegas a couple of years ago for a friend's wedding. I have to say I did not like it very much. I hated all of the people handing out cards for the "ladies" on the streets. It was insulting to me to have them trying to hand cards to DH. It just felt dirty walking down the strip. I did enjoy the show we went to. It was an Aussie band called Human Nature. Almost two hours of really great Motown hits. Loved every minute of that.
My son went to Vegas on his 21st with a couple buddies and one of their parents. My wife took my daughter on her 21st birthday. I wasn't completely behind either trip. I'm not that into crowds any more but it wasn't my birthday either.
The new slogan is "what happens in vegas, stays in vegas".
15 years earlier, it was being promoted as a family destination. That didn't work out so well so they've gone the other route now.

I saw something about Oklahoma on TV today and thought of her.

Just tell her we're worried about her.

I guess i missed the drama last month. I knew something was up though with the sudden silence of some members. I wish i had read it before it got deleted...while in jail u can still read anything on byc, and stay up to date on all threads. Inmates just cant post or access private messages. Its a bummer because as soon as u are put in jail; byc pms u 3 or 4 times. The suspense is aggrivating. Also watching topics come and go while not being able to comment is the worst punishment.

It's one of the more difficult things about "forum life." People come and go as they choose; and you may never know what inspires the choice. Linda was last on about 6 weeks ago, and I seem to recall that she had at least one extended absence previously. There are several people from BYC that I haven't heard from in months, but having no means of contacting them, I can only hope that all is well with them and that they will come back and touch base once in a while.

And now for something completely different .....

I've just been scared silly reading about the melamine/cyanuric acid poisoning cases. The numbers affected didn't hit me until you see all (some?) of them posted together. Worth setting aside some time to read as it does affect both humans and animals. Some of the recalled pet foods ended up as chicken feed.
