Haha!
Speaking of free range one of my buff Orpington's up and vanished yesterday... I have run out of places to look.... Weird
I have 2 in the last month or so, a Black Rosecombed Bantam and a Red Star. Not a feather was found. I found the carcass of a POL pullet one morning and the Red Star was also gone. These were all in a pen.
Quote: Interesting, USA has a population density of about 30 people per square kilometer versus Finlands 16. I think we have cell coverage in about 99% of the country. Even in the archipelago I usually get LTE.
Yep Verison has coverage listed for my area.... But its spotty. and myhouse is behind a ridge of big pink granite rocks. They are pink because the iron in them has oxidized. I BARELY have telephone at all. I have connection up to the pole out at the Pump house.... but that is a thousand feet from the house. The underground wiriing was messed up by a grader.... So if its dry out I can get a signal in the house....
The oNly way to have internet at home is through satellite connection.... Same goes for TV.... So most houses up there have two sometimes three satelite dishes... I have two for TV.... One for mine and one my rooomate put up.... separate companies. Internet connection has limits though. Basic service runs about 50 bucks a month give or take. and you are limited to how many pictures you can down load.... or upload and You Tube is a no no unless you are using it after peak hours.
If satellite phones werent so expensive I would have one instead of a Cell. As it is I have one bar at the end of the driveway if the atmospheric conditions are right.... other than that I have to drive a mile to get reception.... Line of sight down the freeway.

Oh and another thing.... there is a LOT of open space in the US No peeps for miles and miles and miles. I believe California alone is physically the same size as Finland Yet most of the people live on the coast or near the coast.
