The Old Folks Home

I wonder if it would help things here as we tend to alot of humdity unless it's cold and clear skys then we drop down like a stone........but it's fairly usually to be round 80% humdity outside...inside usually bout 60/50

Sounds like a fan would be good for your area. :)

I prefer the still air because I find that the ones with the fans will dry out the humidity pretty fast..at least around here..in the dessert. Even in the winter. I hand turn too, unless I know I am going to be really busy for the next couple of weeks, the I use the egg turner. I change the eggs around every other day, or just put them in a different spot while turning, but make sure all are done every other day. I get great hatches..here's my last ones, just hatched on the 23rd, just before Christmas. :) Had 19 out of 20 hatch, one didn't make it by the next day...strangest thing I've seen yet in all the years of hatching. The yolk didn't absorb. It went inside, but it started to leak out the next day. :/

You can tell, some EE mixes, also..welsummer, and a few bantams.

I'm thinking about removing the egg turner, because I know with it in there I will be lazy and likely not move the eggs from spot to spot. What temp are you doing on the floor of the incubator?

With the still air, it can be anywhere from 100 to 102..if you know the thermometer is reading right. I have hatched for so long, I go by touch more often than not. I can tell if they are feeling a bit too warm, time to .. tweek..the bator.
