@dsqard That bubble quilt is awesome! Though it sounds like it's one of those projects that seem better in concept than in practice - I've had a few of those. Like the afghan for a queen-sized bed that was so heavy it felt like a living thing pinning me down; the weight also made it try to crawl off the bed onto the floor every time I turned over. Pretty, yes, but designed for looks rather than function.
