My understanding is Trader Joe Eggs are mutts

The hen is a production white - they are commercial after all.

The roosters are a bird of a different color - easier to see in a shed of white hens.

Roster breed is of no cosequence to the producer - he is just selling eggs with a few divided cells of a zygote as a gimmick for those poor souls that think its worth it to pay a few cents more a dozen.

Typically the roosters are RIR decendants with some red in them - the chicks will leak red as they feather.
