The Old Folks Home

Many years ago in Hawaii there was a famous seafood restaurant on Oahu. All the tables were set about the in-ground lobster grotto... You could see them scurrying about as you ate. Kind of disconcerting -- although, no doubt, your meal was fresh! -- and just ghastly smelling if you were there on the day that they fed them.

I'm in it for the eggs, so mutt productions whites that are prolific layers are fine by me!
I really dont think they are mutts
I really think they are laying chickens...that the general population has yet to encounter. Some very astro nerd scientist has crossed a few breeds to make "Hulk" birds

Good luck to DK and to SCG on their hatches! Hope both of you get all the ones that made it to lockdown to hatch. :weee I want to thank everyone for their very nice compliments on my pictures. It really makes me feel good that they are enjoyed! :hugs I just finished my next quilting project. I made a landscape quilt inspired by the picture below it.
Incredible talent!!

I recently saw a neighbor with thousands of dollars worth of meat chickens called "cobbs".
They are strange looking birds. There has got to be cornish somewhere in the bloodline....but these are totally different looking and breed true.
Surely trader joe has his own chicken breed.
