The Old Folks Home

Speaking of Pine Knob, that was were I saw most of my concerts,, no skiing though.
I heard about the concerts. Saw the ads. Sounded like fun! Never got to go to any of those either though.

I gave Naomi a bath and tried again with no luck. She is in a lot of pain as son as I touch her. She won't let me feed her but I left her with a little scrambled eggs with olive oil mixed in with a tums and a little feed pellets. All I can do is try again tomorrow. But it's not looking good. Need a chicken miracle.

Both suggest liquid calcium, which I did not hear you mention. KY jelly (olive oil can rancid, and cause a nasty infection later) applied around and in the vent.

When I have one that's egg bound I tube warmed fluids at 15ml per pound, wait 60-90 minutes, tube more fluids if crop has cleared and give 50mg calcium gluconate per pound. Then I place the hen in my warm, steam filled bathroom and wait.
