I will share! It's just white gravy and tomato's? WOW! I have got to try some! Thanks!

Hey all the egg hatching pro's can you answer a question for me please?
I prepaid for some eggs to be hatched for me some turkey and chick's. The person's power went out last week for 6 hrs. and they are due to be hatched on April 1st will the power outage affect my eggs? I am worried about my babies!

chickadoodles, they may hatch a little late but if they survived the power outage, they should still hatch.

I have had lights go out in the 'bator, or hens off the nest for several hours, and the eggs wound up hatching just fine. I won't make any guarantees, but you may be pleasantly surprised!

The new Brinsea octagon advance incubators have a cool down cycle. It can be set to cool down for 1,2 or 4 hours per night. If it is set after day 7 until lockdown, you are supposed to hatch on average one more chick per hatch.

For chickens, 2 hours is recommended. 6 hours without power will not hurt them and will not delay the hatch. Relax and enjoy the process. Candle tomorrow to see what you have going on.

Hmmmmmm, I really went over the "agreement" last night. This is what I found:
No climbing that requires any gear over and above hiking shoes (i.e. rappelling is out).
Fantastic sites for great photo opportunities.
No getting lost (maps in hand and as I stated earlier, I know how to read them)
Hike until we are almost dead to see something special if needed.
Went over pages and pages of addendums and nope there was nothing in there about no pictures of you. Sorry SCG, the agreement has been signed. I guess you should have thought to have that stipulation put in during one of the many drafting sessions.

Sheesh, SCG sounds alot like Sheldon on TBBT. can't wait for pictures of her......

My mom was around but never taught us how to cook

With 4 boys my Mom decided she had a houseful of slaves and taught us cooking, cleaning, clothes washing and hanging, Diaper changing etc. . She made my Boot Camp Sargent look like a pussycat.. The good thing is none of my brothers or I ever needed a woman to do those things. If fact I had to teach my ex's how to do them all. Also, lots of tips from My Grandmother who was Southern. Greens in Cali, not until she brought some with her.

I've got some oysters!! They go really well with crackers!

YAY!!!!!

Now we have to meet in the middle somewhere>>>

Quote: My Grandmother went on Vacation and left an Uncle of mine home to take care of himself for two weeks. He only knew how to fry eggs, so that is all he ate for those two weeks.

When my Mom heard this she decided to teach my two Brothers and Me how to cook so that we could be independent. We also had to learn to take care of ourselves--Laundry, ironing, needle and thread mending and etc.

It worked! The tree of us are the main cooks in our married families.....

NO MAPS IN MY HAND. DO NOT TRUST ME WHEN I SAY "IT'S THIS WAY"

Ex husband was not taught any of this by his family... No idea where clean dishes came from, clean clothes, how to change sheets on bed... new BF lived by himself for 10+ years before me... the difference is night and day. BF does almost all the cooking here, although I can fry a mean egg ;)

If BF ever comes to his senses and leaves me, I'll be eating fried eggs and Ramen noodles.
