A grand for 96 egg incubator seems kind of expensive to me... but what do I know.

Some how, and I really don't know how with the fabulous purple script, I missed this response last night. Thank you.Puddin we bought two of the 1588's and the ones we got were from the incubatorwarehouse.com and the first one we paid about 150. it came with a turner, the second one I got with out the turner as I have one that needed a motor replaced so I ordered the motor from the same place. They also sell the parts. Ron showed it to me and saved me a bunch of money.
I hope this helps.
Thank you as well. My hatches I have done with a friends 2 styrobators with turners. I confess, I am totally not scientific about it.Yes, incubator warehouse sells replacement parts for the styrobators. GQF also sells replacement parts for the 1588 and other incubators--wire, bottoms, tops too. They also sell new plastic inserts with water tanks if yours goes bad. There are also different tank setups for the incubators. I like the one with two little tanks in the middle and bigger ones around the outside. It is easier to get the humidity set correctly.
Mine are trained and it is great!I cant wait to train my babies to do the dishes
That movie terrified me when it came out because I "knew" someone was already trying.Kewel.... How was the trial... Promising?
The company I worked for did tools for electroporation. they shot the cells with high voltage to cause them to allow genes to migrate in.... Rather than using chemicals. ... We had a geneticist on loan from Oxford I believe helping direct the course of the studies. I was designing and surpervising the build on the Cuvettes and actual safety stands to hold the Cuvettes
The stand was hooked up ot a huge generator the Cuvettes were inserted with the genetic material in them and the stands wouldn't operate till the lid was shut. Then someone would throw the switch...
They also had some tools they were working with that were designed for localized Chemotherapy using external electrodes... I refined the drawings for them...
This was back in the year Jurassic park came out.
For what its worth I spoke to the geneticist about Jurassic park and asked if the premise was possible... his answer.... "Absolutely"

I've had an interesting day. A friend's mare foaled . . . . sorry, not a draft; a registered Appaloosa.![]()
I thought the temperament was great. They were in a large mixed flock with about 12 or more different breeds. I never really noticed them so they didn't cause problems. They're aloof like most Mediterranean breeds, not lap pets. Lay rate is excellent. I got my whites from Sandhill Preservation. I think that's the only hatchery that carries white Minorca. I wish I had more room. I'd keep them again. If I were you, I'd get more than 1. You'll love them.@perchie.girl
Corrales -- the village I live in -- is THE horse capital of new Mexico. Each December they close off the main street and there's a parade of folks horses. It was amazing how many draft horses are here. Belgians seem to be the steed of choice and thus far I've counted only one black Percheron. While driving to art class today I found a street in Albuquerque where just about every block had either a horse feed store, tack store, equine clinic...really cool.
The next-door neighbor's mare is due to foal next month. A homozygous pinto bred to an Appaloosa.... A pintaloosa? I dunno. Cannot imagine what the coat could look like.
@ChickenCanoe
I must confess that I know just about zilch about Minorcas. But what was appealing was they're heat-hardy, lay large eggs, lay large eggs. What are their temperament? They lay large, but do they lay lots?
I heard about those murders in Tyrone. At first our news station was unclear what state it was in... We have a Tyrone, NM, with a population of about 10, which is what could be concluded because the news was coming over a local station. Waaaaay out in the boonies. It's kind of a gathering place for all the folks flung into the hills. Still, a sad situation no matter what state...

The snow bone doesn't lie! It has snowed all last night and all day today. Woke up to 4" of fluffy dry powder. Supposed to be snowing all weekend, too. A good weekend to hibernate.

Thank you as well. My hatches I have done with a friends 2 styrobators with turners. I confess, I am totally not scientific about it.I keep water in the trays, keep the temp at 100 as much as possible and say some prayers. I've had about 30% hatch rate so I am happy with that as I am working with free eggs and if every egg I set hatched
I would be in chick overload!!!![]()

My husband and kids think it would be cool if dinosaurs were around, personally I like walking around my house without the fear of being gobbled down by a T-Rex.![]()
My Trex's are outside waiting to be let out to free range right now.My husband and kids think it would be cool if dinosaurs were around, personally I like walking around my house without the fear of being gobbled down by a T-Rex.![]()
