Oh my goodness! Mud, not water. :/ Are you getting mud slides because it's been so dry out there, and there is no grass/weeds to slow it down..or it's all dirt now?

This was down south but mudslides up here are expected because of the fires and the millions of dead trees--There are also predictions of more Coastal erosion, up past Sonoma county.

The drought and fires have really messed stuff up....

Yes, I also thought of that, the fires!

Had a slide in the town over from us last yr. because of a fire taking out everything.

My DH said that California just got flooded somewhere.  No?    I told him it had to be in just one small area, or I would have heard about the..somewhat good news of rainfall from you guys here in California!  

We are expecting some rain come Sunday and Monday...It should move over California first so they say, not sure what part, lower I think.

Kern County too. Grapevine North and South closed yesterday and reopened I think later today from mudslides. Bad flooding on Hwy 58 too. It has poured elephants here in Bakersfield for 2 days. We aren't used to rain like this so early. Supposed to be more coming tonight too. Just hope my old roof holds out!!

All this in California because no one wants to leave the BEAUTIFUL WEATHER there and trek somewhere else - where they don't have severe problems of one kind or the other, every single month. I'm sorry but, I could not survive with an off the charts stress level like that on almost a daily basis.
