The Old Folks Home

Chicka...

Look on the bright side that you raise chickens and not emus! Keep to the lightweight stuff and heal quickly.

Thanks y'all! I am taking it easy. But my Dr.put me together so well that he told me I have a 25 pound weight limit. So I have to take my dressing off when DH get's home. I am a little scared. I have never had staples. They will come out in 3 weeks. I watched a video on it and it did not look to bad. Anyone had any they can tell me what a breeze they will be?
My Dr. told me to get up and walk around and that is what I have been doing several times a day. Today I only took one pain pill so I can see if I can quit taking them sooner.

Agree with the others Chicka... follow doctor's orders, and I hope you feel like a million bucks in no time!

I had staples with a C-section, I don't remember them being very bad, and I'm sure it was a bigger incision. I'm sure you can handle it!

Glad it went well.
I have had hundreds of staples. They will start itching a good bit. They use a special little plier looking thing to remove them. Easy breezy. The only ones that ever hurt me were on my head

Just don't forget to continue to do so when you start to go stir crazy not being able to do all that you used to do for a bit.

Nice that you don't need the pain pills. Everyone is different. My younger daughter had a tree platform drop out from under her when she was in 7th grade. Shoved the humerus up into the socket breaking it just below. The doctor managed to pull the ball back down and screw the bone together with 3 small incisions. She took exactly 1 Tylenol 3 after she got home. Took the same amount when she had her wisdom teeth out. I'm guessing we don't have to worry about you or her ever getting hooked on pain pills.
