The Old Folks Home

Thanks y'all! I am taking it easy. But my Dr.put me together so well that he told me I have a 25 pound weight limit. So I have to take my dressing off when DH get's home. I am a little scared. I have never had staples. They will come out in 3 weeks. I watched a video on it and it did not look to bad. Anyone had any they can tell me what a breeze they will be?
My Dr. told me to get up and walk around and that is what I have been doing several times a day. Today I only took one pain pill so I can see if I can quit taking them sooner.

So glad that this is over for you and you are doing well. Yep..do what that doc says! lol..sure you are. Itchy staple are coming up when things start to heal..just like stitches. It won't hurt any more than having stitches taken out. Nope. I personally don't think it hurts to have stitches taken out. Have watched a son have the staples taken out many a time. He doesn't even flinch.

I had about ten staples in my knee when they repaird my ACL. I dont remember how it felt getting them out. Bama will be able to tell you though He had a serious accident with an I-beam that fell off a truck. We are fortunate that he survived.

Agree with the others Chicka... follow doctor's orders, and I hope you feel like a million bucks in no time!

I had staples with a C-section, I don't remember them being very bad, and I'm sure it was a bigger incision. I'm sure you can handle it!

Wow They sent me home after 24 hours with tape and told to hold a Pillow over my tummy if I had to walk around.... I so would have prefered staples.

Yeouch! Then I'm glad I had the staples, cause I thought my insides were gonna fall out for days anyways!

What do they use now days? That skin glue stuff? My baby is 24!

here is an example

There is a really cool website that allows you to take a satellite image and mark out areas for different things. it gives you square footage as well as parimeter measurements. In real time for any purposes. I wish i could find the link again... they ping me now and then.

I need this web site, Deb!!

I am trying to figure the amount of wire needed to circle my cleared area plus some woods. I am installing an "invisible fence" for my LGDs so they will not have to be chained during hunting season. I have some natural boundaries that will give them about 15 acres to patrol. It has a wood line on the north, a road on the west, a creek on the south and a logging road/tree line on the north. I have been thinking of walking it with one of those wheels that clicks off measurements in feet, but don't look forward to trying to roll that thing through the woods on the other side of the creek.
