The Old Folks Home

I had a wether once, he was very doe-like but would mount her went she went into heat. It was strange.

We got him while he was in the process of losing his cajones... via banding. I did not enjoy having to spread anti-fly balm on them until they fell off. I was, however, disappointed that they fell off and I couldn't find them.

My wether mounted everyone.... LOL... I took it as a dominance issue.

My wethers were a mellow bunch no peeing on stuff... Yet there was one who would drink his OWN pee.... Occasionally. yet he didnt smell.

They were neutered young. mY next goats have the same Criteria... No horns no Cojones

The dehorning process, if using a hot iron, they will often burn the scent glands into non-working order too....ouch.

Wethers are a completely different ball game (pun intended eh)...I had two bucks...yeh...total different aspect to male goat a dotes.

https://fiascofarm.com/goats/buck-wether-info.htm#neutering:

There are photos of urine stains, male peeing on himself, lotsa do's and dont's on goat males.

On a side note, intact males grow faster and bigger than non-intact males...oh the wonders of testosterone!

Oh yes, quite scary.
I love those tests where they ask people to point out countries or even states.
It isn't restricted to high school students though.
There are several versions of the following.

The European maps in the following link are hilarious. A handful are quite good though.

I took the National Geographic test and got 100% (where is the "wiping beads of sweat off the forehead" emoticon??).

But the second question is really unfair and not related to Geography. It was:

Which of these cities is the setting for the original television series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation?

San Francisco
Las Vegas
Chicago
Los Angeles

We don't even have a TV and when we did about the only shows we regularly watched were Survivor and The Amazing Race. My only "exposure" to CSI was the blood, guts and violence commercials that didn't belong on during a "family" show. I guessed and got it right.

That is impressive Deb. I notice they didn't label the countries in Eastern Europe. I guess they don't know either

OMG. He did a good job of not busting out laughing. I'm sure he had severe bite marks in his tongue after that.

Almost like she could only think of 3 countries. Not that that was an answer to the question.

There was a follow on video at one of the morning shows. First time SHE had seen it was on the show. Odd I think, since they brought her into a national morning show. I assume she didn't win given how she answered the question. She must have figured there was a reason there weren't about 50 other girls there as well. Basically she said everything was coming at her at once (not sure what this means) and she only heard about 2 of the words in the question. So now we know why she didn't answer the question. Plenty nervous that is for sure.

Lots of "follow on" videos on the topic (thanks for sending me to "lost in the internet" Tara

Of course they only show the funny ones where people are totally clueless.

Bought a new progammable crock pot.... Hamilton Beach.

I havent had good success with the Rival so I retired it.

This one has a probe. Will switch to warm once the temp setting is reach and will shut off completely after 14 hours.
bought a crappy cook book.... knew better Oh well. went with myh own recipe

Pork Potatoes carrots... seared the pork first. Salt pepper garlic and dredged it in flour then seared it for color and put it in.
Probably put too much salt but it Was three pounds of pork... Short ribs no bones jsut strips of tough meat...

at least the house smells good.... I have no idea how long it will take to cook...
