The Old Folks Home

A couple weeks ago I orders some American Plum trees from the University of Idaho Pitkin Forest Nursery and they came in today. I had ordered a pack of 12 seeds before I ordered the trees.
Would anyone like the seeds? If so let me know and I can drop them in the mail. These also come from Idaho.

Ok, thanks Ron. I will try that. I was just getting so many before that I stopped it.
At least turn on the newsletter--They do not send out very many of those emails and sometimes there are deals in it and contest announcements.

It's an iced-tea break kinda moment here right now - would anyone else like a glass?

(If you are imbibing something stronger, wellllll, better not tell me, this is BYC)

Been doing a little bit here, a little bit there all over the place today - why does it seem like I can never focus enough energy in one place to actually get something done? Inching closer to finishing the coop, messed about on the rabbitry roof a bit more. Got to feel like a real idjit on that one - a piece of plywood fell in a direction I didn't expect, and knocked my ladder down, leaving me on the roof. I sent BB2K a message asking her to come rescue me. She had the perfect opportunity to razz me, but poor kid, she's dealing with a migraine, so all she did was put the ladder back, grumble something about "it's bright out here," and headed back into the house.

Ah. well, I'm burnin' daylight - guess I'd better get back at it . . . . .

It was sooo warm here today. After work I got into both beehives, quickly, to check on food status. Both hives still alive and eating away at their candy board. They were out flying and pooping.

Then I moved to the ducks and mucked them out since everything had thawed. That was easy and only one wheelbarrow full. Moved to the goats, and got one wheelbarrow full before having to quit. The goats probably have 3 feet of hay and feces on the ground in there. That's probably at least 12 wheelbarrows full. If only I could teach them to not pee in there I could clean it out more often. But nooooo they have to pee in there and the pee freezes it all to the floor.

I had let all the animals out to run around since it was nice out. Somehow the act of wheeling the wheelbarrow up and down the driveway to the compost pile (twice) freaked the guineas out. They are not intelligent creatures. Because they were soooooo freaked out over the change in routine it was near impossible to get them to settle down and go to bed.

Sigh.

I'm also on day 3 of a liquid diet (not on purpose) and I am so freaking hungry those guineas are looking good.

What are you doing working so hard if you are near death?

I'd like a glass of tea. Please? Everyone can feel spring in the air and we all want to be busy doing outside projects.

I saw a dog waterer on pintrest that someone had put some kind of rose nectar liquid in for their bees and the bee's were all over that thing! Found it while looking for automatic rabbit waterers. lol
guinea's are a strange creature, I don't think they will ever be domesticated. But I could be wrong.
